“VERITAS IS STILL AT A STRUGGLING STAGE WE ARE TRYING TO SEE THAT IT GETS TO its DESIRED DREAM”.
That was the Vice-Chancellor of Veritas University telling the Diocesan Directors of Education during the latter’s visit to the University.
The Diocesan Directors of education are the Priests/religious saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring that qualitative education is made available in all Roman Catholic Institutions in their different dioceses.
In their routine visitation to the various institutions it was the turn of Veritas University, Abuja. The University played host to about forty-three Directors of Education on 4th of February, 2016.
The Vice-Chancellor of Veritas University, Abuja Prof Michael Kwanashie during his speech told the Diocesan Director that our dream is to make the University portray the true picture of a Catholic University. Admissions into the University he said, should be done at the Diocesan levels and that unless it is done that way, that dream of the University cannot be actualised.
The Registrar Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Okonkwo asked the Directors to assist Veritas University by making sure that more students come into the University by the next session.
The Directors of Education thanked the Management of Veritas University for all their efforts in seeing the University tio the level where it is today. They promised to join the Management to ensure the actualisation of that noble dreamof a ‘true Roman Catholic world class University’.
