Engineer I/Facilities Officer

Qualification

A first Degree in Engineering registrable with COREN or its professional equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Computer literacy and especially competence in engineering software is compulsory.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist in the co-ordination and supervision of all engineering services, civil, mechanical, electrical, building etc
2. Follow up on routine maintenance work
3. Report on problems of safety, security and usage of University Estate and recommend improvements, beautification and maintenance of all University properties and estates, through the Director of Works
4. Coordinate and supervision of the University’s Transport pool
5. Any other duties assigned by the Director of Works and Estate

Architect I
Qualification

A degree in Architecture (post NYSC) registrable with ARCON. Computer literacy and especially competent in engineering/architectural software is compulsory.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist the Director of Works in initiating designs for engineering works
2. Recommend improvements, beautification and maintenance of all University properties and estates, including the environment
3. Preparation of drawings for minor works undertaken by the University
4. Maintain a diligent and cost effective maintenance programme for the upkeep of landscaping and beautification of properties and Estate
5. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
