Veritas University, Abuja and John Paul II Centre for Interreligious Dialogue, Rome jointly hosts its Maiden Edition of an International Conference on Interreligious Dialogue with the theme: Rethinking Interfaith, Cultural, Ecumenical and Religious Dialogue in a Nigeria's Pluralistic Context.
Join us for a hybrid conference jointly organized by Veritas University, Abuja, Nigeria and the Saint John Paul II Centre for Interreligious Dialogue, Rome featuring scholars of African Studies, Religious Studies, Anthropology, History, Sociology, Law, and Politics, who will share their expertise on interfaith, Interreligious and Ecumenical dialogue in Nigeria. The event will feature a keynote address by His Grace, Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama (Archbishop of Abuja Catholic Archdiocese). Three Guest Speakers will also help shape the narrative: Sheikh Mohammed Nuru Khalid, Prof. Teresa Okure and Rabbi Israel Uzan. The conference will be held at The Multi-purpose Hall of Veritas University, Abuja, Nigeria by 9:00 hrs WAT. The conference presentations will result in the publication of an edited volume to be made available by November.
The conference will be hybrid (onsite and via zoom). Online attendees must register to participate and should indicate an interest for a Certificate of Participation.
