The entry requirement into the Chike Idigbe Faculty of Law program shall be through any of the underlisted options;
a. UTME Entry Mode
The minimum academic requirement is credit level passes in five (5) subjects at O’Level in nationally recognized examination including English Language, Mathematic, and Literature in English at not more than two sittings. In addition, an acceptable pass in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in the relevant subject combination is also required for admission into 100 Level.
b. Direct Entry Mode
Candidates seeking admission into the Chike Idigbe Faculty of Law through Direct Entry must have credit level passes in five (5) subjects at O’Level in nationally recognized examination including English Language, Mathematic, and Literature in English at not more than two sittings with any of the underlisted;
i. Passes at GCE ‘A’ Level/IJMB, or
ii. Two (2) or three (3) years Diploma Certificate or its equivalent.
iii. Any acceptable first degree.
c. Inter-University Transfer Mode
Students may transfer from the Faculty/College of Law or otherwise a cognate Faculty of a recognized University, after having completed the fist year and passed all courses; provided that they have relevant qualifications. In such case the University will satisfy itself that the grades obtained by such a candidate are acceptable, and the students have fulfilled other criteria that might have been set by the University. In any event, application for transfer shall under any condition, not be entertained beyond 300 level, that is, no student shall be permitted to spend less than two (2) academic years to earn a law degree of this University.
