Campus Safety & Services

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, visitors, faculty and staff. Our goal is to reduce or eliminate crime and safety hazards on campus. We do this by partnering with you in upholding all university campus rules, regulations and all applicable laws and ordinances. This partnership allows for a safe and secure atmosphere where students and employees are able to pursue their life’s goals.

Campus Public Safety maintains the crime statistics for Veritas University to comply with the 1990 Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. Each year Veritas publishes the crime statistics for the previous three years. A copy of the current publication may be obtained by here. Veritas is a safe campus, however, if you are a victim of a crime we recommend filing a report with Campus Public Safety department, even if you do not intend to file a report with Costa Mesa Police Department. By reporting all crimes with Campus Public Safety we will be able to work with the Residence Life Department to appropriately resolve the crime.

Campus Public Safety monitors the fire suppression equipment in the residence buildings, Science Building, and Scott Academic Building, and monitors the security lights, parking lot lights, and sidewalk lights to make sure the students have a safe and secure path of travel.

Campus Public Safety works with the Costa Mesa Police Department in all criminal cases originating on VUSC property.
